Orology: The Study of Mountainsby RebeccaComment: For me, this shot falls into the category of "I took a nice shot, let's see if I can give it a title to fit the challenge." Don't worry, I did the exact same thing. I am of the opinion that science is humanity's quest for knowledge, and that exists all around us all of the time. This is quite a lovely landscape. |

Difference is 'S C I E N C E'by vikasComment: Mmmmm....genetically engineered tomatoes. I with the syringe/needle thing was a bit sharper. Other than that, it looks good. |

Applied Opticsby Les_FeckComment: Interesting idea. I like the composition and the rainbow effect, but the colors are way over saturated. |

'The Awakening' Pteridology- The Study of Fernsby wildirisComment: This is a great shot, but the processing brings it down a couple of points for me. Drop the saturation down a ways, add some contrast and hit it with some noise reduction and sharpening and it's a fantastic image (for me). |

refraction...reflection...transmissionby tcmartinComment: I'm a sucker for optical physics, what can I say. Nice colors and composition. It does seem a bit over saturated, and there is some funky artifacting in the pinks and reds that is distracting. |

Glory Daysby Harmakis7Comment: I like the subject, but the photo itself doesn't have much punch. It feels like the rocket should either be lit well or a nice black silhouette. Maybe try a shot with the sun setting behind you? |

Powderby DistantColoursComment: I think with this kind of shot, it needs to be really sharp for it to have any impact. This looks like it is nicely focused, just not very sharp. A touch of USM would help immensely. |

Crash!by SherwinJamesComment: This screams technology to me...not so much science. I don't worry about those kind of things too much though. I really like the high contrast treatment here, and the bits spilling out was a great idea. |
