Excellent capture of this striking bird. We don't see too many here in Pennsylvania anymore. There used to be quite a lot of them. Now the State manages them, producing many thousands each year to be set loose in the fields and woods for hunters during hunting season. Not many survive the hunt and few if any actually reproduce in the wild anymore.

Certainly endearing. I applaud the truncation (bad pun) of the trunk on the right edge; had you included the full curve the image'd be a lot less interesting.
