More than a Mouthfulby GregoryBComment: Cool capture. Lots of good things here. Color, composition, the subject itself. My nitpick would be with the lack of DOF. There is just not enough in focus to make this an outstanding image. It's very nice but it could be better. |

Sitka Eagleby CJinCAComment: Lots of drama in this image. It is a bit dark for me to be a real high scorer. The head of the Eagle is particularly nice. |

Portrait by gwe21Comment: She has an interesting expression on her face. Almost quizzical. Her eyes are to die for. I like the exposure and the PP. |

Signboardby hajekaComment: I like this quite a bit. But what the heck is a 'Zandlooper'? |

The Other Wayby odriewComment: Pretty in grayscale. I think I would like it better with a little higher perspective. |

Surface Waveby zeuszenComment: I know some people will 'get' this better than I do. I am trying to look at this with an open mind but I don't think I am recognizing what is being portrayed here. I understand that this image is being entered into the 'best of 2009' so you are either looking for reaction from the folks who appreciate abstract art more than I do or you are just playing with us to get a reaction. Good luck either way. |

Gazingby ryandComment: This woman's eyes really draw you in. They are the main focal point of the image in my opinion. You could easily lose the bottom 20-25% of the image and make some improvement. |

Strategoby caseyfaceComment: I think shooting from a little higher angle would let you see more of the pieces of the game and the board. The model could be up on his elbows a bit so you could still see his face and he needn't be looking at the camera. This higher angle would pretty much eliminate the background as you can frame the image differently than you have here. Not sure if this helps any but it's my 2 cents worth. |
