Lost in wordsby fantacComment: In this rather lame challenge, this is certainly the photo which stands out for reasons of creative thought that went into it and for the finished image. Nice work. 10. |

Tie one onby tdaughertyComment: This has good potential. But the text limits the effect greatly. Fair enough, play with the viewer and tilt the text - but overtilting it simply takes away the focus on the items of interest and creates a disharmonic effect. Close up to remove so much diluting background would have been better too. 6. |

Canadian Greenby seebrownComment: That is a good leaf specimen, almost perfect. I like the idea but the highlight on the left side of the stem is a little harsh to me. 7. |

Pepper Magicby javamooseComment: Very nice specimen vegetables there. So many amateur photographers fail to go the extra step and make sure the fruit is eye-poppingly fresh - but you have done so (or at least cloned out imperfections if there are any). The stalks are quite periscope-like. Nice effect overall. 8. |

I Am Greenby debapakaComment: That is a lot of nature in one little photo and it is not busy in the negative sense either. I think that is parrot's feather (Myriophyllum aquaticum) under freddy's chin. The focus on the frog is very nice. 8. |

The Wind Stopped Hereby ElaineComment: Nice rustic representation. I would have been inclined to crop some of the left side out. The angle of the sycamore seed might have been changed too, perhaps bringing toward the horizontal the wood grain to reduce some of the 'out of balance' rhythm in this photo. |
