The shallow focus makes the sides look very fluid, almost rubbery. It leaves the viewer wondering how come the thing isn't collapsing.

Looks like a place where one would be afraid of slipping into the lake. You can't tell from the picture how steep the drop-off is (mysterious). Those frozen chains are wonderful!
