The colours are beautiful, I like the square (or almost square) crop, and it's quite interesting to have all those stripes there. I am not so sure if the selectively soft focus works in this instance, but I'm having trouble figuring out why. Hmmmm. Maybe it's because of the bubbles and other distortions, they make the whole thing look slightly messy, and my eyes are having trouble figuring out what to look at. I don't know. This lamp is worth many more experiments.

As for the macro aspect, I love the composition, and the eyes/lips are great. I find the nose, out of focus and smack in the middle a bit distracting in this case.
