SPLATTEREDby Art RoflmaoComment: Numbro sixo? Your Spanglish is improving :) Go torch them, burn them to the ground! And then, use a smaller aperture to get a clearer picture of this thing. Hehehehehe!

'Notherizardby MelonMusketeerComment: Very beautiful idea to photograph the little lizard through a screen of out of focus leaves/flowers. I wish the lizard were in better focus, and that the darks on the bark weren't so dark that they have lost most detail. The image looks a little noisy overall. I also wish the intrusion of the one clear stem at top weren't there (it sort of goes against the composition). I love the idea though. |

9-october 08 macro. bumble beeby rozComment: Very nice, roz, I like the sense of buzzing, it comes through well.
As to your question, on my screen the reds look fine, but the yellows look just a little on the oversaturated, especially on the flower in back. Not much, but a little. You seem to have lost detail both in parts of the yellow areas and also in the dark area at left. |

Chain in the rainby bjoernComment: Disgusting weather is good for pictures :) I like this. I like diagonals. It looks almost B&W (on my screen it doesn't look B&W, more like a very grey day with little bits of reflected colour). The image also feels almost minimalistic, not quite really, but on the way there.
The best part (IMO) of images such as this is that they're fun to look at just for the lines/shapes/textures/whatever; they serve as good studies for what you can do with shallow DOF.
The worst part (IMO) of images such as this one is figuring out what in the world you want to say with it. They are good studies, and good graphics sometimes, but how do you use them to connect to an audience. That's something that I really wish I could figure out.
Good work! |
