The Pursuedby GilesComment: the small size and blur gives the person a menacing mane, and of course the glowing eyes of the beast. The viewer is the pursued, trapped in a narrow alley (much as cameras trap reality into a small frame).
And the pursuers, well, they're in no hurry. They know they've won. |

Deliberationby lei_73Comment: Everybody has feet. It's what holds us up. Even the floor has feet. You know because you see the steps. |

Noahby odriewComment: I love windshields as filters. It's the romance of the road, and also the sad isolation of the wanderer. The windshield is the lens and the car is the camera, taking one big picture of a country, capturing so much and losing so much. Yes, I drove by you and I saw you. No, I don't know what you were thinking or feeling, but you were near the road that I was on, so that road connects us... you know... like a bridge... or a bird flying to find a sanctuary and bring you back a piece of it. |

Sunday's Bestby instepsComment: so, the first two shots I've seen both have a striking thing in common: they create a strong sense of "false" drama. In other words, the reality of the situation is probably far less dramatic than what appears here. In this case, because of the expression you've caught on the girl's face, and the way the foreground figures are lined up against her. Intriguing. |

meetby NiallOTuamaComment: another "photo as object" photo. a photo with no subject, a photo with corners and even a handle... a photo you can get a grip on. |

a taleby cutoutComment: a wire pretending to be a line. shapes on a wall interacting with this faux line to create faux images, a profile perhaps, but never quite. but definitely with pierced earrings. also a little intrigued by that poor bottle that won't be pouring booze anytime soon. |

The beauty withinby herfotomanComment: This is a more daring aesthetic stance than blurry black and white. Colors taken to such extremes are more difficult to look at. But I think you've succeeded here. The colors are odd and distorted, but they don't clash and they are muted. I find the overall effect very pleasing to look at. |

waiting it outby KMcCComment: IMHO, this satisfies the criteria of "photo as object" with its giant fields of textured blur. It's basically my version of eye candy, the kind of thing that gives me pleasure to look at. |
