A film noir delight of Nordic persuasion perhaps, enticing.

Everybody has feet. It's what holds us up. Even the floor has feet. You know because you see the steps.

Wish I could see the details but its too dark for my color sight and it all looks black to me.
Anyway, I think this image really looks like a Ubique because he loves darker things and if it has a heavier vignetting which I think this image does and a bit of blurr, I can sure see himself loving this image. I see the soft light on the right but that is about it with the pole. My stupid colors are stopping me to enjoy a potential awesome image- Sorry! I think this honored Ubique well.

This reminds me of when I was young and would try to find a hiding spot to read without being disturbed (small house and many people). With that crack of light it looks as if you have been found. The grain works well with the darkness. This fits the challenge well.

A feeling of contemplation filled me as I looked at this image. The soft lighting, hint of a scene, and legs - I know but I don't know.

What first leaps to mind when I see this image is the medium - it's like a charcoal or soft pencil drawing on stippled paper. Just beautiful before I've even taken in the content of the photo. And the content is mysteriously, casually suggestive, be it sensual or workaday. I think that this sort of hint of a wider, even explanatory, context is very fascinating to Ubique. This image is a strong homage to him. What in the world is up with that sawhorse? The shapes, light and tones work on several levels to bring a strong, coherent composition to fruition. Reminds me of pulp fiction covers of the 1930's without being at all lurid. One of four personal favorites.

Dark and negligent. Grain. Wild crop. Open-closed composition. Uncertain story. These are a few of my favourite things! Thank you.

A lovely old sauna; makes for a great quiet getaway. A sense of contentment.

I love this - mostly for the convincing authentic light - it feels like an authentic viewpoint without the mediation of photography. This, without a hint of colour and considerable noise is not much short of magic.

Excellent. One of my 10s.

This looks contrived and affected enough to meet the challenge. The processing and grain is perfect.
Edgy, as in the latter day Ubique.
