I like how dark this mostly is, barely assembling itself into a recognizable image, especially the foreground tree, which obscures both itself and what's behind it.

this treatment of buildings, all plunging toward the vanishing point in the sky, does not give a sense of majesty or height or dizziness. it generally makes the world look small and sleepy, like all our metal and concrete magnificos are going to fold together and take a nap.

the wide angle lens does add a trippy energy but it also adds too much closure. sticking all the architecture deep into the center, and closing the pond. I do like the clouds though.

the sky and water are so smooth, nothing is going on there. so all the attention goes to the buildings, which feel random and blocky.

this is very flat, which can work, but the composition must be very good. In this case, I find the bottom half not keeping up with the top half.
