The Streets of Londonby MAKComment: Varicose, bellicose, unsaturated, infatuated,
metered, fettered, lettered, leaded,
feted, fetid, feeble, peopled,
where Lords and Puritans invented freedom together,
taken by ideology left and right,
walked by Shakespeare and Tyndale
who gave us not theater and religion, but our very language.
Oh, and Cats.

re memoryby Bear_MusicComment: When you remember something, you see it again,
and that vision replaces the original memory.
You draw a picture of a rocking horse
with the legs too long, the sickle feet
curving from nose to tail,
and you glue it into your old family album.
The glue invades the photographs
like the sunlight in your backyard
when you were a child, stampeding
on the lawn with merciless prints,
overexposed and quickly losing focus.

One Rainy Night in Shanghaiby riotComment: I left you on the night I met you.
It poured two lives, painting their poses
on the windows, including sad and happy faces.
I only remember the name of your drink,
and the color of your umbrella.
The rest of you is just colored glass
I cover my eyes with. |

The Frogby PhocalComment: The buggery of bug is never buggy:
When all the bugs are buggy with the buggy bug,
And bug in bugging bugs, a bug will bug
From bug to bug about the new-bugged bug;
That is the Grasshopper’s—he bugs the bug
In buggy buggery,—he has never bugged
With his bugs; for when bugged out with bug
He bugs at bugginess beneath some buggy bug.
The buggery of bug is bugging never:
On a buggy buggy bug, when the bug
Has bugged a bug, from the bug there bugs
The Cricket’s bug, in bugginess bugging ever,
And bugs to one in bugginess half bugged,
The Grasshopper’s among some buggy bugs. |

The chair by the doorby markwileyComment: knows mostly the arse of leaky sunlight.
Its thin legs look like the hands of a clock.
The same model is available in rice white,
but this peachy red is out of stock. |

From the Wildernessby hahn23Comment: Every stupid idea comes from the wilderness,
staring hugely at us through a window,
the wrong color but the color is from the wilderness.
Styrofoam stares beastly through bean-strangled coffee.
Jungles are clapping for misinformed compromise.
Every molecule in the Universe is a hyena.
Back to the wilderness, Grandma.
Let the mountain stream drink you. |

Such a devilish quand'ry I've gotby GeneralEComment: wither to park or wither to lot
draw it in chalk a symbol forgot
to heap up decisions in rosemary plots
for I can return to whenever I want
and cheek it up right with my raspberry flaunt
no finer skirts in Victoria's haunt
yer think I Noumena but I Kant |
