Zinedine and Williamby jjbeguinComment: the girl on top, turning to face the camera is the secret subject of this picture, which gives it a subtle but compelling interest. 8 |

The Sheppard: 9 Ducks and a Catby bobdaveantComment: b/w was the right choice for this simple visual allegory. the prey and predator together, forming a harmonic balance. the cropped cat looks like she's just about to exit the picture, but she also seems to be circling, so one imagines a spiral, a mixing bowl of the elements of the picture. as your title implies, she is shepherding the elements. 9 |

W 10th Stby JPRComment: I enjoy the frenetic lines and the content people, plus the unreal processing. Looks like a magazine illustration. 7 |

What size?by sherComment: nice combination of geometry and portrait. we see the individual in the context of society: assigned a number, put in a box. The graininess makes us feel a little sentimental about the shoes... reminding us of our childhood of hot dogs and bowling. 7 |

Size 10 ...... Eventuallyby jenesisComment: this looks like a renaissance painting of a saint. Saint Bigfoot? The gleam on the floor looks like the sacred light of the Lord's gaze. The size 10 shoes are the symbol of Saint Bigfoot, patron saint of high heels. The shoes and the vertiginous angle and the prostrate position really do transform your subject. 9 |

FIFA's #1 Fanby gliphixComment: this is a great picture. its score will probably suffer because it's not supersharp, but why should a portrait be supersharp? The lines in the background create a dynamic backdrop hinting at the subject's energy, which here is subdued only for a moment, and also resonates with the creases on her jersey, and her angular arms. Everything is just right, including the crop. 9 |
