Bird watchingby MelethiaComment: great photo and a great title. Thank you! My cats aren't smart enough to hide. They sit right on the window sill and watch the birds flying around. |

An Old Friendby JamesKWComment: desaturation tends to take things out of their environment. In this case, the chair is just floating in space and has no weight, no heft. If you are trying to tell some story of loss, it is spoiled by this effect. So I all I saw was a competent but pointless use of selective desaturation, and gave it a 5. |

In color, its flaws are even more obvious. :) |

Hibiscusby NikonJebComment: This was another one of my "6 and a half"s. I actually had it at 7 for a while because I like how you can still see some green in the stem and leaves. The leaves are very dark but still retain a fine level of detail. But I just ended up scoring this challenge low overall. 6 was a good score from me for this challenge. I am honestly baffled at how you got scored as low as you did. |

Crossingby MelethiaComment: This would have scored about a 2 in the challenge but would have gotten a 9 from me. |

Matronby MelethiaComment: I almost gave this a 7. I gave it a 6 and a half. I really do like the picture. It's just that I thought it would be better without the selective desat. I could be wrong! |
