good solid abstract composition, boldly segmented with lines that are very strong but not perfectly straight, each segment with very different texture and color, struggling to appear as one "thing" ... i.e., a work of art.

i love the textures and bold shapes of this, the combination of soft blobby curves with a very straight line more or less on the thirds. there is no focus of attention. The eye is led all over the piece and needn't settle anywhere.

I like how the beautiful yellow of the flowers and the beautiful green of the leaves blend together to create something ugly, and somehow infect the sky. This theme of "infection" is highlighted by the very fine stippling and crosshatch of the texture. I imagine art being drawn with viruses.
