Challenge favorite for me. And not just because I'm a sucker for vintage distress applied to beautiful subject matter. The conceptual angle here is simply quite compelling.

Superb imagery, Super from corner to corner and a study for the viewer. Congratulations Front Page!

This is very stylized, a style that announces itself as art, which I don't usually like, but there is much that commends this image to me. Because it is affecting primitive camera technology, and "objectifying" a woman's face, it reminds me of Man Ray. The rose becomes most of the face, and there is a certain poignancy in its failure to become a face even though it's trying very hard. The only thing remaining of the face is one eye. Now, someone grumpier than I might say that it's pandering to include a beautiful glistening eye, but I like that the face is allowed to see, rather than be seen. There is something allegorically rich about it. The photo is a collage of cliches, but actually there is nothing wrong with that if they are clumped together in a confrontational or slightly disturbing way.

I'm hanging this in my fantasy gallery.

Intimate, for sure. Dreamy. The colors are amazing.

I like the layering, and the look outside the frame

I am predicting a PH Blue for this one. Hopefully also a DPC blue ribbon! Love it, Nancy! <3 My favorite in the challenge.
