I'm very fond of this because I've always made the same connection. Or maybe I never made the connection but after your photo it seems so obvious that I think I always made that connection. This is truly the sublime flying up from the mundane, transcendence without absence.

e301 told me you missed the decisive moment, that she's half a step away from where the wing would truly seem connected to her back, but I like the slight disconnection, and I like being able to see the full curve of the wing and how it interacts with the curve of her back.
