The traditional no-no of having background items springing from her head actually creates a "crowning" effect that I find quite moving. Unfortunately, the more I look at it, the more I realize that this is not a miraculous candid in a war zone, but a carefully staged Larus photo of a beautiful model in fatigues. You had me going for quite a while, though. But I'm not sure what that gets you.

fascinating mix of the fantastic and the mundane. a daydream. interestingly, we are more watching her dream, than seeing the dreams themselves. And it's better that way. We watch her not in her dream, but at least wearing her dream. Yes, the pool has turned into a lake, but look how empty it is. She is seeing much more than we are.
