Old Man and the Seaby ZoomdakComment: Incredible layering, with different layers at different depths seemingly coming into contact with each other. The challenge is met perfectly, seamlessly, emphatically. But what I love most of all are those waves that look like rocks from Heaven. |

Laceby RKTComment: This image is so perfect it almost disappears, like it doesn't even need to be looked at. The leaf is magnificent, but the background is pure spirit. It's like I'm seeing the creation of the universe, God asking for light, word becoming flesh, the first time a neutron met an electron.

TITLEby GnarfComment: Magnificent. Terrifying. Perfect multi-layered interpretation of the challenge. (The face is isolated by contrast with the darkness around it, while the darkness is emphasized by the lightness around it, which in turn brings out the face.)
