I love the feel. What I would prefer more is to have either of the men (preferably the right one) and have something related to him as the second part of the diptych, I think that'd tell the story much better.

Looks like you had an interesting subject, but I find the choice of framing not the best. The fence reflection in the upper photo is a bit distracting, and the perspective doesn't show much of the fin. Also the crop is a bit too tight on the lower photo imo.

Imaginative. The problem I find is the somehow odd illusion of 'continuation' of the body, perhaps swapping the two parts of the diptych would make a stronger composition.
