the "blinds" effect is freaking cool - I really thought the shadows were caused by real blinds from a window! (well except the shadows on the monitor screen) Cool effect - just feel stupid to not have realized this earlier :p

i liked the way light comes from the back of her, making her hair shine and also how it is reflected on the grass.

question: was flash used? or a reflector? thx

this is really nice. i liked how soft the tree appeared to be, and the way it moved with the wind. the empty space around the tree gives this photo a weird sort of serenity, which i think makes the picture. good work.

Sheep on a Hill

Comment:
I find the sheep a little too far and so I couldn't see more of it. I liked the striking colours separating the ground and the mountains at the back. This photo makes me ask whether the sheep is all alone or is still with it's herd.

this is a wonderful, wonderful shot, Manny.
I have to put this to you - your people portraits are superb!
GuGi said something that I'd like to second, quote below,

"You have what it takes to make people open up without the photographs becoming an invastion of their privacy"

good words, and very apt! Good work there.

"You might think Rikki is cool as a cucumber in the face of sheer terror, but the truth is he was asleep when the attack occurred."

So Rikki fell asleep while waiting for this 60-seconds exposure to complete? No wonder he looks so cool even with a man-eater in front of him, hehe...

BTW Ken, I think your photoshop skills need sharpening - Rikki is clearly photoshopped into this photo of a shark on the beach. :p

you gotta tell him that diamonds are much harder than rocks, so it should be modified to "Yeah, my whole body is made out of diamond" and then you can see the little guy get kidnapped (diamondnapped) the next day, lol
