Nice candid. A couple of seconds later and the pole would have grown out of his head :) Must always be weary of bakground distractions. Though I know we're supposed to depict motion, it would be nice to have the subject in focus.

Very nice abstract, elements look sharp and really nice in blue. Undecided about the tree in the center. On one hand my eye sees it as a distraction as I try to look at the folloage, but nonetheless, the image seems less interesting without it. So I guess its best that its there :)

I like the placement of the ambulence in the lower corner, and the colors of the ambulence contrasts well with the bleak landscape. Background almost looks painted. Its unfortunate the ambulance isn't in sharp focus. Not exactly sure why, maybe due to the autoamtic focus on the camera locking whatever is in the center of the frame (background)?

If it weren't for the very white highlights, the blue horizontal lights and low photo quality (probably a camera limitation you couldn't control), I think the photo would do nicely. Potential's there.

The lighting is simply beautiful! Was this light painted? Composition's neat also but I think it would look pretty nice without the black top - makes a good abstract.

Very nice composition - good angle and lines. Would have been cool to have only the train blurry - The ceiling and platform would have been in nice with focus. What subway system is this? Look's like Montreal's.

I know people think pets are overdone, but you can't complain if the photo is done well, and this shot has a lot going for it...A distraction free background coupled with a great expression! Focus seems a little blurry at the tip of the nose, perhaps everywhere, could be an effect of post-editing? Still great shot! Nice gleam in the eye too. Can't vote but it would have been an 8.

Wow, I really like this!!! But I've always been a big fan of textures and abstracts and here we have both of them! I'm sure the high-res picture would be an even bigger feast for the eyes. Definately something I'd hang in my apartment! Love the square crop, not used often, and compositionally - well all lines in the picture are visually appealing... I just can't find anything to complain about. Well, I'm not a member, so my vote would have been 10, and this is definately my favorite of the competition. Best of luck!!
