This is just a dark photograph that has the sun as the subject and some hill that is in silhouette. Given the challenge I wanted to see the silhouette as the subject and in this case it is not.

Nice silhouette but would really have preferred a brighter background to make it stand out even more, it gets lost at the top where the sky is really dark and my eye wants to stay focused on the bright area in the middle.

Wonderful and perfect capture of a silhouette. To bad you did not blow out the object at the top so it was just solid white like they were running into the light. I do find that fence a bit distracting from the overall photograph.

I am guessing that your silhouette is the little statue or what ever it is at the top of the building against the moon. I only noticed it because I was looking for the silhouette because that is what the challenge is. I really should not have to search that hard to see if the photograph even meets the challenge and for me the silhouette should be the subject of the photograph, not some tiny insignificant part.

To me this is more just a dark photograph. A silhouette should be a shape or outline against a brighter background. Your background is marginally brighter in most of the areas, with only the small area to the right being significantly brighter.....this really makes the overall photograph to dark for my taste.

You can not argue, this is most defiantly a silhouette. The background is just to over the top for me and I forget about the guy with the flag and my eye zeros in on that bright white spot. Would have been a much better photograph if the person was a bit larger in the frame and not what to me is more of a small after thought.

This really is more a dark photograph then a silhouette. Yes the tree and to some extent the building is in silhouette but a true silhouette should be against a brighter background and yours is just marginally brighter.
