Reflections Of Autumn's Endby ThingFishComment: Very crisp clean reflection in this image. I gave this a 8 in voting. I thought you have a strong composition with the lake/river leading your eye into the frame and to your subject. Your sharpness and detail were nice as well. I thought the forground interest of the landing on the otherside of the river was a nice touch as well. Very tranquil and calming shot. |

Cloud Nineby ThingFishComment: Great color from the planes and the colors also make for great lines leading into the photo giving a great feeling of depth to your photo. I think you could have added a bit more punch to the colors using the hue and Sat tool, it would have brightened it up a little bit more, but Very nicely captured overall. |

Rustby SaraRComment: I like the DOF that you captured when taking this image. The pegs give great lead in to the image, while the circles of the object escape into the background giving a nice depth to it. I like the rich tones that you have captured of the rust as well. Not overly saturated but just rich enough to show the different contors and lines through the texture. |

Day 11 - Clarevilleby GregoryBComment: What a beautful sky in this shot. I am extremely jealous of this sky.... I think the composition and positioning of the water, horizon and sky works really well in this shot. It has the perfect combination of the three. I also like the boats. They make nice little angles amongst the water to really give some good depth to the photos. |

Spring Colourby GreetmirComment: I love the warm and inviting tone of this tree, its very lovely. The subtle lighting that you have used to capture this really adds to the overall tranquility of the shot. Very interesting compostion on this as well. I like the interest in the forground and the overall depth you chose to take this shot at. |

Side View Fallsby rlewisComment: You did a nice job with the timed exposure on this falls, you captured the flow and off shoots of the falls nicely without much overexposure.
I thnk you did a good job in the composing of this shot as well, the tree at the left is a bit distracting however. I would try cropping along this at about mid section of the tree and use it as a natural frame/boarder for the photo.
I am impressed that the leaves stayed still for 5 seconds, I have had issues with this in alot of the waterfalls that I have shot.
Beautiful scene. |

6_June.jpgby DJWoodwardComment: Good combination of land and water the partcial balance of this along with the warm hues really give a calming and peaceful tone to this photo. I like the silohuetted feel of the pine in the foreground and you did a great job getting the line of reflection of the sun captured in the water.

Locascioby SEGComment: Sorry that it took me such a long time to get over here for a comment on your shot, I apologize.
For the darkness challenge you would figure that this would fit a monolith in a cemetary around dusk, as I would agree to a point. The idea you had was great for the challenge but it the exposure being a bit bright doesnt really jump out and say dark to me.
The different greys in the photo along with the sharp detail amongst the inscription and in the other writing really gives a great deal of interest I keep on wanting to try to read it. However there is a slight oversaturation or oversharpen that gives off a slight haloing around the monument.
I think if it were a bit darker and the halo wasnt there it may have been alot better for you. |

Paddleboarding Miamiby yakatmeComment: This just my overall opinion, but the photo overall lacks the sharpness to make this photo work. I really cannot find a spot in the overall photo that it sharp enough to draw my attention to it.
The other thing that stands out to me compostion of the photo, the subject is centered in the frame and along with the horizon being dead center at all it doesnt give much of a feel of depth nor a strong urge to examine through the photo further.
Lastly I think your subject is also overpowered by your background there is alot of things to look at behind your subject that in this photo hold more interest.
Hope this helps out a bit. |
