Striking the poseby carofoComment: Wow, fantastic! Lovely spring colors, and nicely composed. With such bright light, you handled the highlights nicely. I agree, those other photographers definitely missed out on this opportunity! |

Day 07 - Cauliflowerby hajekaComment: I love how there's a little section missing, letting you peek inside. And I agree that the black background offsets this nicely. |

Viola Scrollby JMartComment: Good choice to keep the entire scroll in the frame. I think the full shape is more important than anything you would have gained in texture or detail from a closer shot. The white background works well here... anything else would have detracted I think. Nicely done! |

Red Ice AP - Day 7by slaaksoComment: I'm honored that you were inspired by my shot! I think you did a fantastic job with this one. I love the variety of sizes and shapes in the bubbles here, and the choice to use the red background livens it up. Amazing that this was hand held too! |

"...a million miles from reality"by CidpilotComment: Originally posted by vlado: Good photo... the finger/other hand is extremely distracting though... would have been one of the best of these types of photos in this challenge (and there were a few) if not for that finger/other hand :( |
As a kindergarten teacher, I used to use a hand signal like this to get the kids quieted down... a "shhh" over the lips and two "bunny ears" on the other hand to show they were ready to listen. So I don't find the other hand distracting at all, in fact I find it to be a nice depiction of what a kid might think of as peace and quiet.
If I find anything in the shot distracting, it would have to be that upper left corner in the background. I don't know what it is, but I find myself looking at it and wondering, which detracts my attention from the main focus. I do think the shot is a bit flat though.. perhaps a boost in the contrast to make the whites more white and the blacks more black would help this shot. |

Dirty boyby ShutterPugComment: Great use of shallow dof. Soup looks less than happy about having his picture taken, but then again, do turtles ever look happy? Nice job! |

Thorny Way - Day 5by sherpetComment: Amazing how many colors are in this shot! These do look more like soft whiskers than hard thorns, and I don't know that I would have guessed that this came from a cactus! Great job! |

Lifeby SDWComment: Aww, adorable! I never would have guessed they were so small from this shot. Amazing that you got this close and got such a clear shot with a new momma hovering around her kitten! Looking forward to more shots of the new kittens through the rest of the month! :) |

Wrench Works Parking Ramp at Sunset :Pby JMartComment: I never would have thought that the "round" shape would be made of several small flatter parts. Interesting! I wonder how this would work if you'd taken it from more of an angle, showing the shapes of the teeth-like edges. Maybe it would help cut down on the harsh lighting? |

Puppy Macro???? - Day 4by slaaksoComment: Love the patterns in the sand too.. and the little pawprints. What a cutie! When he finally falls asleep, would be a great chance for a cute close up of some puppy paws or a nose? |
