I like the way the picture focuses in on the letter.. but I find it a bit strange to read the typewritten words and having the pencil lying there. The words you've chosen leave a lot of room for interpretation by the viewer too.

Gathering Around Mother

Who is the focal point of this one.. the mother or grandmother? The hand on the knee and arrangement of the woman seems that they're "gathering around" (as the title suggests) the grandmother, but they're all looking at the mother. Seems like a forced posed that feels uncomfortable to me. However, it does show a great image of several generations which in itself is a treasured thing.
