Lorraineby phoenix46Comment: The coloring of this one just doesn't work for me. I like the contrast of dark and light, but the greenish hue is unappealing. Perhaps a sepia tone would work better or even just a boost towards more yellow? |

the white has allby mandalaComment: Good arrangement... slightly different from the typical arrangements done with pencils. The lighting seems a bit harsh with the shadows. I think just a tad less light and a bit of a levels adjustment would help this one. Nicely done though! :) |

Swirl No. 9by danderson107Comment: I like this version much better (though, I liked the first one too!) The dark circle is gone, there is a smoother blending into the swirl, eliminating what came across to me as hot spots of white, and the swirl itself is smoother. A great reshoot. I notice the original says that it too was a reshoot of a shot you did when you started photography. It would be interesting to look at that one too in this series! |

Jewel Colors of My Earthby sherpetComment: I had no clue what this one was, but that was the point of the challenge, right? The colors are so warm and wonderful, this one kept getting bumped up as I looked at it each time. Well done! :) |

Autumn Leavesby Judith PolakoffComment: Beautiful! This was one of my top picks in the challenge. I love the colors, and how fortunate that you found a tree with such vivid colors in time for the challenge! Well done and congrats on your 4th highest score and 11th place! |

The Recruiting Processby tateComment: Hrm. When I first looked at this shot I gave it a 6, and kind of guessed that was where it would stay as I went through and bumped up votes. But every time I came to it, there was just something unique about it that I liked. The soft colors, the little puffs of clouds that mimic the bunches of pine needles, the unbalanced feel of it all... somehow it all worked for me. I didn't really get the title, and that bothered me... like I was missing something, but in the end, I ended up giving this shot the only 10 it received. Not quite where I was expecting to see this one finish, but I still think it's a fantastic shot. Well done! |
