Sad Eyed Ladyby ColeyComment: I think that this image would benefit from a more varied and natural looking grain. There are Photoshop-actions to help achieve this. If you look at the grain on a non-digital b+w print you'll see that grain is not an even speckle spread over the image. Spread evenly like this and grain tends to start looking like digital noise. A stunning portrait though. |

Forgotten Bicycleby JeniYComment: The beveled blurry white frame spoils this image for me. But I like the photo. |

Borsalinoby joezlComment: Nice! The variable grain applied naturally across shadows and highlights looks great. |

Forlornby banmornComment: There's a nice harmony and dynamic between the two elements of this image that moves your eye constantly from one to the other. The strong grain adds interest. Nice. |

A Grain of Fearby susannaComment: The strong grain and contrast makes this image for me. The image seems to be built around the grain rather than simply adding it as an after thought. |

Softby PollyBeanComment: This is a study in simplicity. Very beautiful. |

Noisy Treeby JeremyFleuryComment: If the focal point of the image is really just the colours then maybe you could add impact by really saturating the color, and perhaps making creative use of blur. Otherwise the results can be a little bit boring. |
