The eaxpression is great but it is too dark on her. To me the out of focus window really has no place in the photo. She is the photo, in my opinion. But the twig touching her forhead is very detracting and would be especially if your cropped the window out. I still think she and her expression is your photo.

I don't know how many caught the freedom, even for the flag only hooked on one hook. You and your friend must either stop shooting together or get together on who is going to use which shot. It detracts from each others. This is georgeous but not as outstanding as if woud be if it were the only one.

This looks too much like the freedom photo. You must shoot together. I suggest you use different shots. This is beautiful but is lessened by one so close to it.. It is seriously a beautiful work of art, but so is the other one.

This is one of the most beautiful photos I havae ever seen. I would love to have a large one hanging on my wall. This is unique and a very different shot of a city. Beautiful photography, focus, cropping, depth. I especially like how the sun shinges on the front of some buildings making them look outstanding and the rest look like they are just part of the city. Hope you can understand. This should be tops.

I thank each one of you for your comments. I knew you would beat me up about the background before I submitted it. I liked it and submitted anyway. I hoped for some comments that would help me with areas that weren't so obvious. Hind site is 20/20. I tried Gallatin's suggestion and it was much better. Thanks Gallatin for a really helpful comment.

For an action shot you can't always choose where it takes place. The way I look at it, if you want the scene you have to put up with the scenery sometimes. For my own personal use I spot edit the background and all the mess out and have a very cute photo.

Thanks again for those who took the time to comment. With this many low votes I expected, and hoped for, at least four pages of comments.

Don't you think that toast is a little over done. I would have scraped it before buttering it. In my opinion, if you were going to use the paper towel as the background that is all that should have been in the background. You should have cropped it as close on the other three sides as the bottom is. The cropping is ok if you had not used the paper towel and just put the toast on the white counter. Either way, not both. Other than that it is a reall good photo and right on for the challenge.

I love that you captured this showing "no tears", the normal baby milk fit. All the things I don't like work for you here. I don't like babies in B&W, cropped tightly, focused sharply. But they work here. Good shot well done.
