I really like the colors and the detail on the little snowman. If the white background area on the upper right corner could be covered with a tree branch or a Christmas light I think it would look even better.

Beautifull capture. I like it that the angle is from below, I believe this works very well with small kids.

The small finger of the little girl's right hand annoys me a bit. I also think a small black border or a bit tighter crop to get rid of the small black line on the top of the photograph would be nice. And I believe under advanced editing the spot editing of the small imperfections on the fence is allowed.

Nice colors, I find the texture of the left leaf a bit annoying, probably because it makes it more obvious that the leaf is artificial. The same applies for the slight pixelization in the bottom right corner around the yellow flower.

I also think that the lower left leaf should not be in focus because obviously your main subject is in the center of the photograph.

Excellent capture. The positioning of the subject in the center of the photograph makes it even more dramatic. The details of the cloth and the man's face are also very impressive, although I expected a few more wrinkles on his face. The shallow DOF also helps the overall impression.

A friend of mine went to Photokina in Koeln this year and I asked him to bring me a camera as a present.

This is what I got, I guess I should have been more specific, and ask for a REAL camera (-:

This Cannon-1Ds Mark-II with the EF 600mm f/4.0L IS USM costed him less than the actual camera (I googled-around a bit, the street price is around 12.000€ and he got it for free at the cannon stand), but I can't complain since I actually got a top-20 finish using this camera.

The funny thing is that I took the photograph using a Nikon!
