Early Morning Light on the River's Bank... at Midnightby eschelarComment: My opinion of this shot is that its very flat and dull. Needs contrast and has lost alot of detail in the shadows. Composition is pretty good although it doesnt follow all the rules of composition it works pretty well here. The photo seems almost underexposed for a 30 second entry. I would think that with the sun just coming up as stated that at 30 seconds this might have been alot sharper and with more detail. I'm confused though you say you shot it wide open on the 18-55 which would be 2.8 and on your details you show f11. I can assume by wide open then that you mean 18mm. Anyway thats my take on it and I think it scored about where my vote would have been had I voted. |

Birth of a Rainbowby DirtypainterComment: Welcome from the Critique club. I have reviewed your photo and have some comments. FIrst let me tell you I love the idea that you came up with. The execution on the rainbow is very cool. Very imaginative way to get the rainbow. The back ground being varied color really hurt your score I think. Its very nice and black in sections but turns blue in the area around your focal point. SInce advanced editing was available selecting the background and getting it all dark enough that it doesnt blend colors would have been very beneficial. ALso I think maybe cloning in the colors back over the hand where the rainbow loses its coloring would have helped. I love the idea you have here and execution was pretty good. I'd say scoring about where I would expect with the small flaws in the shot. |

Caught Red-Handedby smykComment: Greetings from the Critique Club. I have looked over your entry and am quite pleased with what I see. Your exposure is almost spot on. You have very good focal point and pretty good composition, would have done much better I think had you taken the photo offcenter to the left, with more negative space off to the right side. Rules of thirds help in scoring here. The idea was extremely nice and very well executed. Kudos for that. I think with a little adjustment to subject placement you would have score much better. Overall very good job. |

My ~Wicked~ Sideby espy2Comment: This photo has some obvious editing flaws that show in the photo. I might recommend that you check your editing monitor for calibration. Nice setup and good attempt though. But the spot editing is pretty obvious with the flaws. |

Canyon Of Lightsby pawdrixComment: Wow, I love the photo, and the colors. The clarity is good. I wonder about the tilted horizon though. Makes me want to lean my head to the left to get a good look at it. I'd prefer it to be straight, but kudos to you for taking the chance. |

Great River Bridgeby fordmanf1Comment: I'd really like to see this shot at more of an angle and not so centered, just a tad sharper as well. The exposure is nearly perfect on teh shot. Nicely done. |
