Love the shadows cast by the low lighting. I think it increases a sense of anxiety and as graphicfunk mentions, panic. Your expression is priceless! :D Tried pulling a face like the one in your bio? That would be a hoot!

The reflection is good but the colours and light are dull and flat. The bits of rubbish distract and there's also some sensor dust that, with the new basic editing rules, you could have removed. I realise it's difficult to make a drainage pond look glamorous, but some contrast and colour boost would have made this a little more visually appealing :)

The contrast here is marvellous. Deep rich greens and dark shadows are wonderful. Long exposures of water is something I've yet to try and looking at your shots makes me eager to get out there and do it.

Hmmm... I'm not really a cat person, but here goes: I like the selective desat(?) leaving the eyes that vivid colour. I think a tighter crop with the eyes dead center though, would have made more of an impact. Not sold on the editing around the edges, looks a little smudgy... which brings me back to wanting the tighter crop. Have to agree with Karma about needing a contrast boost too, or even a wee play with curves, just to give it some punch. Other than those issues, it's not a bad pet portrait at all, but then it's always going to be hard to compete against gorgeous human models... ;)
