Two things, in my eyes, that I felt you nailed: the vignette - it really lifts the shot to another level, and the saturation - the wonderful dirty(?) reds give this a feel of old photographs you might find in your parent's album of when you were a child. Remember those? The one's where colour was added by the photographer manually later? Ahhh yes... I got that melancholy feeling alright... :)
