Maybe next time choose an place with more light and perhaps have someone else take the photo for you over your shoulder? That would eliminate the camera shake that's made this so blurry. |

I think this could have been improved by simply taking this out to a clear area of snow, and getting down at level with the trike. |

| 03/07/2008 03:36:21 PM | Daisyby ehale92Comment: I like the colour you chose and the hint of vignette. This garnered a 4 from me, which was quite generous considering the lack of focus. The comments below are a good indication that something was not right with this photograph. If the blur was intentional, it may have been wiser to exaggerate it. As it is now, it just looks like you couldn't keep the camera steady :( |

| 03/07/2008 03:26:46 PM | untitledby JoAnna3853Comment: Focus is a big issue with eye shots. Unless blur is absolutely intentional (and that intention is understood by the viewer), out of focus eyes will never work. In future, try stepping back just a little. Could be that you were too close for your camera to focus accurately. |

Originally posted by citymars: What a great old entrance, and I like the concept of the girl in front, but technically there are some problems: it's not very sharp, the girl sort of disappears against the background, the upper left corner is too bright and draws the eye away from the subjects, a lot of empty space down front, plus you've got the phone wires. Maybe shot at a later time of afternoon, with a tripod and a reflector or fill flash, would bring better results (though no recommendation for the wires, unless you can cut them down). ;-) |
