Using the second, third or fourth candle-light would give more the impression the shallow DOF: in that case you can see the beginning and the end of the area in-focus. To be honest: I did not use this aspect in my own picture for this challenge :-(

SpongeBob Says Cheese!

Nice picture with objects isolated on the plate. The small pieces of cheese add a lot to the overall attractiveness of the photo: spongebob only would be boring. Good composition. Well done! However, the picture seems to have a red colorcast. Also the Spongebob is a little bit out of focus.

Odd Number of Odd Looking Dice with Odd Reflections

A short explanation how I made this picture. I had a mirror lying on a table. Perpendicular I had a yellow sheet of paper which I photographed via the mirror. This caused the yellow "background". On the mirror I positioned the three dice. Due to the thickness of the glass in the mirror the dice seemed to float. Finally I placed a center-image filter on my lens to produce the feathered look.

Then it is time to take the picture, using a direct flash, resulting in two light spots on the dice (direct path and mirror-path).

I think I can see reflections in the middle of the photo. I find this distracting. It looks like the photo has been shot behind a window.

This photo looks like a snapshot to me and not a good photograph. Did you choose the diagonal line of the street on purpose? And is it a finger covering the lens at the left?

I like the light through the perfect clouds: Beam the cow up, Scotty! Unfortunately the foreground appears too dark to me giving the impression of see-through cows (contrast is too low between green land and cow).
