Idea given by friends at work. I used a mirror to produce the reflection of the dice. Unfortunately, the mirror caused multi-path reflections due to mirror surface and glass reflections as well as color shifts. However the thicknes of the glass causes the dice to stand-off from their reflections.

The vague look on the edges of the image is produced by a center-image filter.

Post-processing: Crop, Saturation, Curves, Resize, USM, Border, SfW.

Thank you all for your comments.

A short explanation how I made this picture. I had a mirror lying on a table. Perpendicular I had a yellow sheet of paper which I photographed via the mirror. This caused the yellow "background". On the mirror I positioned the three dice. Due to the thickness of the glass in the mirror the dice seemed to float. Finally I placed a center-image filter on my lens to produce the feathered look.

Then it is time to take the picture, using a direct flash, resulting in two light spots on the dice (direct path and mirror-path).

Kind regards

Color and objects are nice. The orientation is different. Reflections and yellow are different.

This is the only dice shot I gave a 7 on, it's the highest I've given to a dice shot. You've got very interesting dice. Uncommon, well here it is. The way you've cropped the picture with a feathering effect doesn't work very well though. Odd dice is all I can say. Oh and the frames you've used doesn't work very well with the lime yellow background.

This is different, and it is an odd effect.

I like the idea of all the dice landing on an odd number and that there is an odd number of dice. The red dice, has a reflection which I think takes a little away from the picture, but that's just me. Anyways, it looks great, Good job!

I like this photo, except that the red ball is too out of focus and gets blurred with the yellow edge too much. Overall though, a nice job!

Nicely on topic, but not a whole lot to keep my attention.
