This image actually has a real cool retro feel to it. Reminds me of b/w photography my father use to do. My biggest suggestion would be to lessen the negative space at the top and do this image in portrait orientation. 7 -danny

I'm hungry! Can you come cook me up some too? :-)

Well, you have copied that add perfectly. Eggcellent lighting. Which with your subject had to be difficult. 8 -danny

Unique capture. In Texas we'd never see this. Not sure I feel this fits propaganda as much as it does a unique capture in your front yard. 5 -danny

When shooting, you need to always try to work within the camera's limits. It appears you may have been a little too close to the cat for the macro function. Your focus is soft and the sharpness of the hair is lost as a result. 5 -danny

Can't really rate this one on techincal aspect, as I don't believe that's what you were going for. Your overall presentation and composition is good. The fact that the person is looking up the stairs adds to the pensive mood. I'm not sure I agree with your subject matter, but as far as story telling goes, you've done well. 8 -danny

For this type of shot to work, you need a straight on perspective. When the camera is off to the left like it is, your figurine will appear to slant to one side. If you're wanting the back to be totally black, work on minimizing the wrinkles in it. That will help keep it from bouncing light off at weird angles. 5 -danny

Good tones. I think that perhaps having some pills or something in the shot too might bring your statement across better. Usually 2 objects in a photo leave it feeling unbalanced. So the inclussion of the third element and a possible different perspective would have bumped this up a few notches. 7 -danny

Nice concept and execution. I would like to see a tighter crop to loose the CD on the left of the coin. Seems to through the balance off. 6 -danny
