This is a spoof on the Partnership For A Drug Free America's 1987 "This is your brain on drugs" propaganda campaign.

If you don't get it, see here and here for more information. Millions of Americans saw the "This is your brain. This is your brain on drugs. Any questions?" ads in 1987. As somebody who was a teenager at that time, it was the biggest piece of propaganda that I've been exposed to.

This was mostly an attempt to see if I could get good-looking text in a DPC legal way. I think I succeeded. The frying pan is real, the eggs are real, the text is real. (This isn't a "photograph of a photograph" or a photograph of somebody else's work, as some may speculate.)

This is your brain. This is your brain on drugs. Any questions? LOVE IT. Very creative. Amazing how you got the text on the picture as well. TWO THUMBS UP!

Looks like the real deal. Great idea and very well executed. Have my guess whose this might be.

This could be a picture of a poster i have seen. If it isn't then how did you get the text?

I like how you incorporated the words into the image. It works better that way then as a Title. Clear clean and to the point. Hope you score high.

I'm hungry! Can you come cook me up some too? :-)

Well, you have copied that add perfectly. Eggcellent lighting. Which with your subject had to be difficult. 8 -danny

I'm assuming this refers to ad that goes "This is a frying pan. This is an egg. This is an egg in a frying pan. Drugs are like this, only different. Any questions?" - I only found about that by searching just now on Google.

Unless one knows that advert this makes no sense at all. So it's either a copy of someone else's propaganda or a comment on that progaganda (which I'm not getting).

Great shot. I notice this has been verified as legal. I'd love to know how you did the letters.

Definately works as propoganda, I'll be curious to see how this was done within the rules when the challenge ends. Good luck! 8

Technically excellent - white lettering on transparent film? Haven't a clue really - but I can't relate your shot tto your title at all. 'Sure as eggs is eggs' springs to mind, but that desn'tt help me at all. Nice shooting, but ... hope I'm not being dumb, but is it perhaps an american thing?

Hell, at least you didn't put it all in the title.

Funny! Needs a little bleach (the egg whites need to be whiter) =-) Maybe a levels boost would help?

Excellent satire. The artist here framed the picture well, capturing the spirit of the propoganda marketeer very well.

it complies with all rules? so it's just a shot of poster?

Very good anti-drug propaganda. And clean picture, good focus and you just made me crave for eggs. This is bad at 2 am. Plus that the two of them have double colesterol than I am allowed in a day. I shouldn't give you a ten because of this, but I will. :) 10
