*Composition (content)*
Your composition and use of color and light are good. As one of the other comments mentions, a center of focus would be good. Something to draw the eye to. As it is now, there is just so much happening that it's somewhat chaotic. Your concept was very good. Definitely get a sense of blue.

*Background*
Your DOF is good. Again the background seems very busy to the eye. I wonder if a different aperture so as to blur out the back a little would help maybe F4.


*Camera Work (Technical)*
Good use of the camera to get a close-up macro.

*Digital Processing (technical)*
Sharpening is ok (trace of over sharpening around foreground ice).
Balance between light and dark is good.
Compression is good (no jpeg artifacts)

*My opinion*
I liked this picture during voting. I am a fan for abstract work and you did a good job. Other than not having a center of focus this shot is very well done.

The composition of this shot really works. The contrast of the white clothes line against the fabulous blue is perfect. Even the clothes pins orientation work, they move the eye from left to right and add interest to the top of the shot. The quilts location and angle is good as the right side of the quilt lines up almost perfect with the edge of the picture.

*Background*
Not much there :-) The color of the sky and its gradient from dark to light is very nice. The sky is clean and free of noise.


*Camera Work (Technical)*
The only slight drawback I see technically is that you may have let just a little to much light in. The white on the quilt in a few areas seems just a tad too white.

*Digital Processing (technical)*
Sharpening is OK (slight trace of over sharpening at the bottom of the quilt).
Balance between light and dark is excellent.
Compression is good (no jpeg artifacts)

*My opinion*
I liked this picture during voting and still like it. It tells a story and meets the challenge real well. Keep up the good work!

Some will say the white is to washed out, but I think that some photo's are allowed artistic license, and I feel you did a good job here.

I know this is nit-picky, but the only thing I would have changed is actually have the marble exactly in the center of one of the paper towel rings. Nice macro otherwise.

Not an easy shot to get right without having the moon washed out. You did an excellent job of capturing just the right amount of moon light without having the rest of the shot too dark.

What might have made a more interesting shot is to show only the shadow. I feel by having the half bottle in the shot, the eye isn't sure what to look at.

My feeling is that this shot would be stronger if we couldn't see the bottle. Great clearity in the blue background.
