rushhourby JustCareeComment: Shooting while driving - I went through a phase like that! :o)
Love the mirroring, of course - the depth of field is awesome since the front and back are equally strong. |

Snapped symmetryby MelethiaComment: Fabulous, Deb! Love how you described how the 'limitations' of your lens became it's strength. Sometimes I feel the camera and lenses have their own agenda. |

Missed Flightby jomariComment: That is some beautiful, Marion. The light on the water is out of this world. |

Closingby spiritualspatulaComment: Funny that Prash picked this image. I was going to leave you a comment in the Comment or Die thread, and it was going to be on this photo, but I got a phone call and had to abort my intentions.
I really love/d this and gave it a 7 during voting. The title completely conveys the atmosphere of the photo - that last 1/2 hour at a bar or restaurant when the energy closes down. Such a creative take on the challenge and awesome bokeh. Too bad it wasn't appreciated by the majority, but I suppose that makes it even better in a way. Who wants to appeal to the mainstream anyway? :o) |

Fellow Travellerby PaulComment: This image imparts a sense of impermanence, a fleeting quality, even though nothing is really moving. The guy looks like he's waiting to be picked up, in the dark of the night, while the city behind him blazes. It makes me want to know why he's leaving. This is an excellent capture for the very reason that it invokes intense curiosity (in me, at least). For hand held and the high ISO it's pretty sharp and detailed. |
