A very colorful capture of a period/era gone by with individuals dressed in period clothing. All the elements in this photo are either vibrant because of color and interesting because of all the representations of a era that no longer exists. But what the photo lacks is a main focus - there are so many objects around these two gentlemen that it takes away from what they may be doing. I like how the man on the left appears to be concentrating which attracts our eye to what he is staring at. The man on the right is reaching over the table to make his next move. It appears that these two men are playing a game of Backgammon. This is, in my opinion, what should be the main focus - the action in the scene is what needs to be the center of attention in this composition. As the picture stands now the forground is dominated with the table and the silver plates/utensils that draw attention away from what else is resting on the table. One barely notices the backgammon board if it was not for the actions of the two gentlemen focused on playing. I think a closer zoom where the frame is filled by just this two gentlemen with the board centered between them would greatly improve this composition.

Very interesting! The individual walking on this beach looks like he is walking through liquid pools of mercury. The reflections off of the patches of water on the beach take on a metallic silvery/blue look. This creates a dramatic look to the overall composition that draws our eye to the photo.

The expression captured here is priceless! Love how the little girl has a pouting 'don't bother' me expression and her hand is batting aware her admirerer. Only critique is that the composition can easily be cropped closer to the subject for our eyes to remain on the main subjects/action happening. There is a little too much background or empty space on the left hand side that adds nothing to the overall composition.

Love this! Photo opportunity indeed. A colorful line of men dressed in purple and red robes adds vibrant color to the shot that attracts our attention. But what really makes this an interesting shot is that one man pauses from the spiritualistic seeking crowd to take a picture of the curious wildlife that has strolled on scene. The deer is an unexpected and unusual visitor. The concentration on the man/monk's face as he composes the shot on his point and shoot camera is great! The photographers eye captures the deer while the photographers eye captures the unusual photographer capturing his subject on 'film'. Great eye!

Love the colors and detail in this wildlife shot. Background is a nice simple blueish white that does not distract attention away from this bird on watch. Composition is well framed with attention focused right on the pelican on his perch and nothing else in the composition to distract attention away from the main focus.

Love the B&W in this photo for it helps attract the eye to focus on the shapes and textures of the scenery - not to mention it adds to the mood of quiet contemplative day. I like how the pathway is included into the composition for it is the visual path that draws the eye right to the pyramid. No only that the diamond shapes of that pathway compliment and mimic the shapes found in the glass pyramid of the Louvre. The buildings both to the right and left of the main subject help to frame it - the old world architecture juxtapositioned next to the new adds visual interest.

What a great capture of life in the wild! The composition is tightly focused on the wildbeast coated in wet mud drying in the heat of the sun - talk about a mud pack:-) This beauty of a beast is cooling himself/herself off as best as it can. The splash of green grass in the background really makes the subject stand out from it's background.

I like the dark 'earthy' colors found in this photo. The red really stands out as a burst of color that helps to draw the eye in. For some reason the dingy/grungy look is appealing for even though we don't see life bustling in the photo with a person(s) present, we know that there is/has been activity simply because of the number of bags attached to the bicycle and the shoes tucked away in the corner. The bicyle lays against the wall ready and waiting to transport the owner to it's next destination.

I really like the way how you composed this shot. The natural arch of the building really acts as a wonderful frame to Chihuly's glass tower. Like another individual said the shadow on the bottom right is a bit distracting - a closer crop taking out most of the concrete groundplane would remove that distraction and strengthen the composition by keeping focus primarily on the arch to act as a frame. You beautifully captured the wonderful vibrant colors of the red and yellows of the sculpture as they appear in the garden. My only nit is that those trees in the background distract away from the main attraction - the yellow and red tower. But one can't do much about that for Fairchild Gardens as that is part of the permanent part of the grounds.

Black and white tones are spot on and not washed out. Strong dominent shapes are prominent throughout the composition.
