Voted earlier coming back to leave comments now. I like how you composed the shot so that the orchid is at a diagonal for it adds visual interest. Lovely details seen in the texture on the petals and the colorful spotted pattern in the inner core of the flower. The square crop was a good choice for it keeps the attention focused squarely (pardon the pun) on the details and beauty of the flower.

Voted earlier coming back to leave comments now. ACK!!! When I just saw the thumbnail I thought it was going to be just a bee as the main subject. Full view has a big surprise! Not a good day for this bee is it! Nasty jaws on that mantis as it digs into the head. Great details in this insect shot that shows the drama of survival that happens in the animal kingdom everyday.

Voted earlier coming back to leave comments. Wonderful photo portrait of this cowboy. Lighting is excellent as that there are no shadows that fall on his face from the brim of his hat. We get to see his rugged good looks and those startling blue eyes that level a stare at us. I cannot tell for sure but the backdrop looks like it might have a cow or horse in the distance...the bokeh obscures it too much to identify. If it is a cow or horse then the lessening the bokeh and showing off the backdrop would help further strengthen the visual impact of the photo by showing this cowboy's environment. Nonetheless wonderful portrait work!

Voted earlier coming back to leave comments. Beautiful shot of this majestic peacock. Great timing and eye to get this lovely bird showing off it's plumage! I love how the pristine whites really pop off the page and show off an almost ethereal beauty of this uniquely colored peacock.

Voted earlier coming back to leave comments now. Wow! The long exposure has turned the motion of the water on the rocks into something truly magical and mystical. It looks like the there is mist hanging over the water. The colors are absolutely magnificent!! Processing is truly wonderful on this composition! Great job in capturing and presenting this beautiful sunset beach scene.

Voted earlier coming back to leave comments now. Wow! Great capture showcasing the lines and architecture of the museum. The B&W really lets the lines, shapes, and curves of the local stand out. I love the patterns in the roof ceiling window bends and curves. It looks like it is the crown that sits on the center portion of the building. The inclusion of the people to the scene also adds visual interest as we 'people watch' them going about doing there everyday thing.

Voted earlier coming back to leave comments now. This is a great journalistic shot showcasing the story of this demolition!! I like how you have included the human element. The man with his arms raised up in air ...I can almost here him whooping and hollering as he watches this impressive site. And it must have been quite and experience to behold not just for the people in the shot but the one taking the shot as well;-) The title made me chuckle for if he did work there he is most happy about it's demise:-)

Voted earlier coming back to leave comments. Fabulous detail in the feathers and body of this little bird! Love how we can see the fine textures of the feathers in this close-up shot! The coloration around it's face and the shape of the beak as well as the stare makes me think that this little bird is very grumpy and angry at our intrusion:-)

Voted earlier coming back to leave comments. I believe what I find so appealing about the image is the great shadow play and the side by side presentation of nature and man. Love the shadows that play across the road for I see it as nature throwing it's own design upon man's creation. Love the dynamic B&W tones. Good choice in presenting it in B&W for it really calls attention to patterns and the play of light in the scene. I think of 'The road goes ever on' and wonder where that winding road will take us. What lovely sights in the forested area would we see if we traveled upon it. The trees also act as a path or leading line that leads our eye to travel along road to the curve that turns and vanishes.

Voted earlier coming back to leave comments. She has come to the sea to bathe in the warm salt air and hear the calming voice of the surf as it washes ashore. She reflects upon the events of the day. That is the story I feel being played out when I look at your photo. I feel the warm salt air not just because of the presence of the ocean but because the deep rich red, gold and orange tones of the shore convey warmth. The reflection on the sand of the woman speaks to me of the inner reflection/meditation she is doing as she gazes out to sea.
