1-nov 2010 layered. i'm really nice on the inside!by rozComment: What a really fun capture! The rain texture on the window also brings to mind the phrase "Raining Cats and Dogs". Great processing for it really makes me think the cat is caught out in the rain and your dog Katee might be revealing seeing that:-) Hmmm, titles - another play on a well known phrase "When the cat's away the dog will play", "The little dog laughed (to see such sport)", "Dog Pranks", "For once I'm glad there is no Doggie Door", "'A little water never hurt anybody', laughed the dog". |

#2by Eagle40Fox2Comment: Love the way the light plays on the sky and the sea and bathes the lighthouse in a soft glow. The sepia and overlay makes me think of a time in the distant past. |

Yasminby daisydavidComment: How cool! The texture overlay is lace but the effect on her face and the top of the headcovering fools me into thinking that this is an old mosiac where some of the tiles have slightly shifted so that we can can see the tile edges. |

Eternal Home on the Rangeby cginoComment: That is a really neat find - I am sure that there is an interesting story to the site where you found this. The man and the horse being darker than the rest of the composition coupled with the 'aged & worn' overlay and the cross at the gravesite gives me the impression that they are ghosts/shadows against the backdrop. Perhaps the 'shadowy' visitors/shades have come to pay respects to another who has long passed on or it is the shade of a recently departed soul who is saying a final goodbye to his earthly cell before riding off into the sunset....So many stories can be spun off of this composition. |

Acoma Puebloby cogeroxComment: The liquid overlay in the top right corner is PLAYING with my mind....as I look upon the image it makes me think I am seeing a reflection of the adobe in a large puddle of water. |

Songs of Loveby JutildaComment: The warm browns and darker backdrop projects a more moody feel - instead of love/romance in the first blush I get the feeling of love/romance well worn or having withstood the test of time (and still doing so). The two red tulips are symbolic of two soulmates/lovers and the literary overlay strongly cement in my mind the thought of a marriage/relationship that has survived, thrived, and acknowledged/celebrated for 25+ years. |

fire hydrantby sjhulsComment: The texture overlay/processing really brings up the weathered look of the fire hydrant. The peels and faded 'rust' really stands out nicely. |

day-1by salmiakkiComment: Soft pastel hues of the tulips are lovely...and the literary overlay is a wonderful compliment. It invokes thoughts/imagery of a love letter or poetry about love/nature. |

Quietlyby tomeComment: Love the juxtaposition of mood and texture here! The cracked wood texture over the rippling water is perfect - I can almost feel surface of the water as it ripples. In fact, that cracked wood texture makes me think of old fresco paintings - and this has that feel and look. Love the color hues - the cool blues and whites project a feeling of serenity. The silhouetted swan calmly glides over the water completes the composition of a quiet, serene evening. Both the overlay composition and the original photo are beautiful captures. Frog in Thimbleby robinssongComment: Nice effect of the overlay. The lacey feel adds to the daintiness of the frog. The lace overlay also projects a subtle hint of a garden - where this tiny frog might live when he is not hopping into thimbles:-) Also like how it gives us a sense of scale - goodness he is a teeny, tiny frog! |
