Sun's Morning Glory by Len ScapComment: Congrats on the red ribbon - this is the only 10 I gave out. Beautiful capture. Love the warm tones and how the sun is beginning to peak out from behind the mountain. Love the pristine glasslike surface of the lake and how it captures the light and reflections of the beautiful landscape. |

Hogwartsby Ja-9Comment: One day we will get there to see this - wonder how crowded it will be after the last film debuts in July.... Love the tilt for it adds a quirky sense of wonder - maybe we are flying on a broomstick into Hogwarts:-) Love the slight sepia look for it gives it a sense of age...walking these streets hold history. Now I do have one critique: I wish that the sign 'Hogwarts' was more prominent or rather the words on the sign were darker so they could pop more. Easy way to achieve that is use the select tool to select the letters and then lower brightness/contrast or the gamma. |

The Wayby tangueraComment: Johanna, congrats on being in the right place to find this treasure! Don't you just love it when the Muse comes along to show you another vision:-) Serendipity at it's best; loved the backstory as how this was achieved. Congrats on such a great image - love the way the woman holds her shelter (love umbrellas) as she faces the great unknown. The maze and the waves of the ocean make me think of life and time. Of course, it would still be interesting to see if you can capture your original vision;-) |

the lighthouse by tateComment: This is absolutely amazing! It almost doesn't look like a real lighthouse - it almost takes on the aspect of a chilly layered cake with killer ICI(ng)CLES :-) The ice and icicles are just amazing to see coated on this lighthouse - glad you were able to capture some seagulls in the shot for it greatly complements this winter seascape shot. Congrats on the blue! |

Into the Sea by AliciaComment: Congrats on the Red Alicia! Great tones in this B&W...and maybe it's just me but I see an additional 'layer'/pattern. The grain on the wood of the pier reminds/takes on the aspects of the waves/ripples of the sea. |

three stories by tateComment: Voted much earlier coming back to comment. I keep coming back to look at the composition - it is one that speaks the most and (one of only two 10's that I gave out). I love how there are two meanings in this shot. One is the obvious of the three floors. It is the second meaning that leaves a lasting impression. Three people, three stories. One is just beginning his story by climbing to the top. One is traveling down down the stairs as he begins/ends his day. One is at the bottom and perhaps story end ready to exit the door. As I said this made a lasting impression that during the week I kept thinking back to the shot - going into my fav's. |

Country Romanceby gsalComment: Two by two - love the silhouettes and the captured 'reflection'. The black border gives a widescreen feel to the composition while the scratched & curled edges give it a feeling of age; old times long since past. Again, it has the lovely brown sepia hues that are warm and appealing. |

Burden of Lifeby gsalComment: Another storybook come to life as we open the novel and turn the pages that conjures up the picture of the daily lives of these women. Wonderful processing that just compliments the photos. |

the_shadowby daisydavidComment: Very dark and moody feel to this composition. The grit of the city street at night is felt strongly and there is an air of menace; something waits in the shadows such that it compels us to quicken our step. I see the shadow but placing myself in the scene I wonder if it is imagination getting the better of me or ::looks over shoulder:: is it really there. |

Old Mission Fountainby GermaineComment: Love what the overlay does to the photo for it gives it a painterly effect - with wide brush dabs in some areas to give it some built up texture. Love the reflection of the mission in the fountain - great compositional elements in the photo too that are very pleasing to the eye. |
