I LOVE the display of vibrant colors here! It really captures and holds the eye. Great detail and great emote on the clown! I was surprised not to find this in the top 10 for it dazzles the eye with color & playfulness and fits the challenge name perfectly.

Have not been to Hearst Castle in ages (I wonder if the main highway still has some mountains of claim shells off to the side of the road or has the foliage grown over it). This is the indoor pool if memory serves correct (the outdoor pool was twice this size and also had grecian/roman decor). Truly nice capture of the rich blues and golds of the room. The wide view makes it feel huge which is in direct contrast to the reflections in the water of the roof beams which creates a cocoon-like enclosed feeling.

Perfect presentation of the name. You were very fortunate to be in the right place at the right time. Love the golden glow of the rising paper lanterns that complement the golden glow of the temple spire. This is truly a breathtaking moment of time captured beautifully. Congratulations on the ribbon! One of my very few 10's.

Congrats on the ribbon! What a way to return after a long time away :-)- fingers crossed on the gradient tool. Beautiful details in the wispy smoke and the colors are the icing on the cake.

Nice to see that some DPCer's who went on a long break returning. Welcome back! Great finish in the FS. Great composition where the water path leads the eye straight up to the snow capped mountains. It is a beautiful scenic shot - love the combo of warm hues of yellow & orange of the tall grasses alongside the coolness of the water and the snow.

Great capture! The frosty breath from the wolf's mouth is what makes the shot go from good to fantastic! Love the details in his fur coat. B&W was a great choice for the wolf and his frosty howl just pops visually. Congrats on the top 10 finish!

Glad this made it into the top 5. I loved this shot for it captures the falling snow and the feel of chill effectively. The scene gave us a slice of the life of an oysterman - he trudges back from a day of work. Perhaps he caught some and perhaps he caught none. We cannot tell. What we can feel from this shot is the day was long (hunched shoulders) and the cold is so palpable that it is piercing.

Truly the shot is akin to a portal to another world. A world many of us don't get to see in real life. You captured the glacier beautifully - The inclusion of the person in the shot gives a sense of scale and also plays into the imagery of a portal that one travels to another place. Congrats on your blue - your shot could easily be featured in National Geographic.

Congrats on your ribbon! The details of this fern unfurling is stunning. What I find captivating is details of the shapes and lines. The compact pockets of leaves that are curled into a shell like chamber and the way the line of 'branches' flow and curl throughout the composition - it draws the eye in and holds the attention.

Congrats on the HM! I love the play of light upon these frosty leaves. The level of detail in the leaves and the ice crystals made my teeth chatter from the chill.
