The black and white really showcases all the details and great contrasts in this twisting path! It took me a moment but I love how you turned things upside down so now my eye follows the line of lights as it emerges from the bottom left corner to snake it's way to the 'horizon'.

A clean minimalist composition with pleasing shapes and soft hues of pale green and white. The lines and curves in this composition are simply elegant and the light greens give it a soft light as air feel. Nicely done!

Wow! The level of details in the scales on the head of this snake is amazing! The colors and patterns on this coiled serpent is very bold and eye-catching too!

Love how you composed the shot to capture the twisting curves of the road that goes up this hill! The addition of a car and motorcycle gives the image a sense of scale of how big it it which contrasts with the fantastic tilt shift technique making it feel like I am viewing a miniature/toy world. My one critique is that there is too much vegetation the obscures the road at the top - given the position and height of trees/vegetation it is highly likely that there was no way to get a better shot to include more of the road.

Love that pop of red color that contrasts beautifully with the white and black hues of the staircase. The spiraling shape of the staircase leads my eye directly to that red umbrella.

What a fantastic find! Love the repeating 'S' shapes in the circular staircases! Another great visual element is the colors - a bold orange, a spring green, and caribbean blue! An awesome study of shapes and curves lines that is well seen and well presented!

Love this nighttime scene showing a gathering of people at an outdoor event! Their shapes are contrasted against the lighted building and the light falls on the dark water illuminating the ripples on the surface. My one critique is that I think there is too much negative space that lessens the visual impact of the people gathering and the light reflected on the water's surface. My suggestion is to crop 1/4 off the bottom and a little off the top to give it a more widescreen look; giving the photo the feel of a scene in a move and bringing the viewer a bit closer to the gala/social.

Love the light streaming into this coffee shop and the two men lost in thought in the scene! One sits at the table on the left, head resting in hand, coffee mug waiting on the table, lost in thought. The man sitting in the armchair to the right has his hand cupped to his chin lost in thought looking at the paper in his hand. Then there seems to be a third party who is missing. A tray with a coffee mug and creamer sits on the tabletop in the forefront as if we/the viewer are just now returning to the table. I really love how this is just a slice of life with the muted duotones strengthening the contemplative mood captured here! I have to admit I don' quite get how the title connects to the imagery unless that is the name of the cafe...given that my first thoughts on seeing the image was, lost in thought, give pause (for thought), and on second thought (because of the two men lost in thought)

Love the pillar of light that falls on the cobblestone street and the main subject caught within! Deep shadows frame the main subject on either side directing the viewer's attention to what happens within the path of light. The backlighting illuminates the people in the background just enough that we see there shapes but mostly details remain in the shadows. In the forefront a young child playfully runs. He/she is almost a reflection of the shadow on the ground for most details are hidden because of the strong light. The capture of the the arms outstretched combined with the title transforms a delightful imagery of a child at play into one that is eerie, interesting and strange.
