very nice subject, i was begining to wonder if I would see any cats actually sleeping, which to me signals more comfort. Ok, i like the cat, the light glinting off the tousled fur is great. i dont like the satin part of the blanket or the fabric (couch?) on the left. They detract from your interesting subject, i was thinking a closer crop but you would have to cut out too much of the cat.

a very well taken picture, nice lighting, good crop use of 3rds rule etc. May get hammered by the DNMC's though as this looks cold and forboding rather than comforting.

The Comforts of Home

After the challenge I would go back and try burning the trees and the house, maybe give it more of a grungy look that we cant get in basic. Maybe a little more sautration on the grass too. This just seems like a dull picture and I think a little grunge look would hilight it. also the flowers int he window have got to go. Anyway its a nice subject, the weird branch over its back hilights the strangeness of this pic well.

Thank you everyone for the comments and just to let everyone know, I dont have an iron (no really, i dont) and I didnt even notice them until the first commenter pointed it out. I now have it pounded into my head to make sure there are no distracting elements! And that I really need to buy an iron :)
