Bottled Sunshine!by 777STANComment:

Hi, my name is Kari and from the critique club.
First Impression - the most important one:
Good choice of concept .. maybe a little more work on the exection needed.
Composition:
This works .. you have got the thirds working well ... you have created a capture that almost works.
Subject:
As a concept this works ... it is the execution that has some issues.
Technical (Colour and light):
it is here you have some issues ... as with the window framed shot .. you need to work with clean materials ... the bottle here is really dirty and this doesn't help in projecting what you want. The DOF works well ... is the shot a little grainy though .. have a look for neat image or something like that to assist in smoothing an image.
To grow its vote?:
Keep it up .. you have shown you have the creativity ... its just now putting it together with the execution.
Summary:
Well done ... you have showing a good move in your skills.

Hi, my name is Kari and from the critique club.
First Impression - the most important one:
Interesting picture for a challenge called heat.
Composition:
Te placements in the frame are intriquing .. but they work. I think that te lighting has helped in maintaining the placement of the vase, and working with the flowers having them more lit on one side than the other.
Subject:
Yout scored suffered the DNMC vote ... but you still scored well.
Technical (Colour and light):
I like this although it is in some ways a little harsh. Considering for the feature about how to sprinkle some light across perhaps using a white or silver reflector to pull a little more from the rest of the picture.
To grow its vote?:
meeting the challenge in a traditional way would increase the vote. Moving away from the blue into a warm colour also may have worked.
Summary:
lovely image .. keep it up.

The Prairie Sunsetby LERtasticComment: ::: Critique Club :::
Hi, my name is Kari and from the critique club.
First Impression - the most important one:
Interesting shot .. good composition ...sometimes it pays to stop the car.
Composition:
I like the way that the lines are around each thirds mark .. the dark area .. then the blue from the top.
Subject:
I think the scoring reflects that people thought more that it is a good shot .. than a true to challenge pic. I don't really feel heat from the picture .. as Dr Achoo says .. the blue cools it down.
Technical (Colour and light):
Natural light ... lovely shot ... great sharpeness.
To grow its vote?:
I think that the comments you have recieved reflect well on how to improve.
Summary:
Well done .. I think you have a great eye ... keep it up
