It may not do well in still life, but it's well done and nice story to get with it. I like the composition, and the fact that the part of gate you captured is actually a cross makes it interesting.

Cool effect and congrats on getting CS3. I don't know if you're shooting RAW or not, but in CS3 it's incredible how much you can do in raw conversion, including curves, shadow/highlight, sharpening, noise reduction, this effect (forget name), B&W conversion, etc. I'm just experimenting with them myself and it's a blast. Have fun!
