The high key effect works great here, along with the negative space. This is just really cool, and makes me wonder what your other hobby is besides collecting used beer bottles? j/k. My only nitpick is how the bottles on left seems a bit lower than on right.

Good contrast here really makes the benches jump out. You did a good job of getting deep blacks and not blowing out the bright snow. The crop leaves me longing to see more.

Nice shades of gray, and I like the shininess of the metal. I have no idea what this is, and that adds to uniqueness, at least for me. Nice job seeing a photo in something many of us would pass by.

Breaking Through - WK08

For me what does it here is the contrast. You have the mostly dark area on the bottom, a large gray area of gray above, and then the turbulent clouds with bright sunlight "breaking through". This hints at a calm being interrupted by something on the opposite end of the spectrum, and the calm will soon be gone. Your title sums it up well.

I like how she's toying with the camera, as if to say, "I dare you take the shot." It would be nice to see a bit more in the deep blacks; I'm getting mostly pure black in a lot of areas.

Nothing like winter in the Midwest! Nice composition and I love that contrast from the chains. This reaffirms something I've been noticing about B&W lately - it seems like the contrast is what makes or breaks a B&W image.

This type of thing makes me want to visit Arizona with camera and big ol' memory card. I find these things so interesting because somebody put them up there, for some reason, in a certain arrangement. I like the high contrast to bring out the different textures.

I like the contrast of plant against the sky. I'm not so sure about the pp, did you use Jeb's method? It works for the plant, but something seems a bit off in the water.
