I like the lighting to really highlight some things and yet hide others. I'm not sure what lighting setup you used, but these bottles can be a good subject for future projects - I bet this would look fantastic if you turned off the lights, set a long shutter speed, and painted with light.

I think the processing is fantastic to give this an old postcard look. I know you're away of the tripod issue but the slight blur adds to the overall effect, IMO. You took this from a good angle although it appears you may have been off-center, although that may be your intention.

Day 6: Barbed

At first this just seems like a simple of barbed wire, and yet it's a fascinating study of lines and pattern; there's a lot of stuff going on here. My eye is immediately drawn to the angled wire, then down, then across the wire on the bottom. Then I go back up and explore the slightly out of focus grass and just love how the curved grass leads into the sun. Great job.

I like the boy in the background who has the almost identical pose, expression, clothing, etc. B&W conversion is well done. I wonder how this would look with a vertical crop to focus more on the boys; but it's fine as is.

I find these types of shots quite interesting and they always make wonder what happened to the tool. However, the title doesn't quite fit, IMO.
